Our Creator
Aurora Sheehy grew up in Fremantle, WA. Fascinated by the natural world around her, in her teens she moved to Tasmania and apprenticed herself to the wonderful naturopaths Erin Collins and Michael Thomsen over 12 months, this profound experience determined her future life path. She moved to Southern Queensland to begin her formal Naturopathic and Acupuncture studies. Once she had completed Naturopathy and Acupuncture, she travelled to China to experience working in hospitals. Returning to her hometown of Fremantle, she established one of the highest profile and busiest Natural Medicine Clinics in the city and has in over 20yrs of practice seen more than 30,000 patients.
The Research
From all this intensive work she has formed opinions, and seen patterns in the presentation of patients and her work has evolved to meet their needs. In 2019 she began to work with The Poly-Vagal Theory, which demonstrates how life events affect health by setting off inflammatory responses in the body. She began researching what herbs could treat this and after intensive study of ancient texts, was able to create her own range of Herbal Medicines, from long-lost and forgotten herbs.
The Creation
And so The Heart Centred Herb Co was created. These teas and capsules she has then used over the years and conducted studies using them that she has written into scientific papers and abstracts that she now presents at seminars around the world. She continues to see patients in the clinic and is working on making the approach more widely understood & available including compiling a book of her treatment methods and expressing the Poly-Vagal action’s role in Herbology.
